Overview
In 2017 the Park & Tree Board, Cemetery Board and Arts Commission were combined for efficiency of operations into the Public Properties & Outdoor Spaces Board (known as the Outdoor Spaces Board or OSB). Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council for a terms are 2 years. The Park & Public Buildings Director serves as the city staff representative.
Duties & Powers
The Outdoor Spaces Board serves in an advisory capacity to review, coordinate and makes budget recommendations on proposed improvements to the City's public properties and outdoor spaces. This includes buildings, parks, trees, sidewalks, public art and the cemetery.
