All supporting documents must be uploaded with this application, emailed to permits@valleycenterks.gov or delivered to 545 W. Clay, Valley Center, Ks. 67147. A Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department (MABCD) License is required to obtain a contractor's business license in Valley Center*. We require the full page copy of the MABCD License which includes the license number, type of license and expiration date. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is required for Liability and Work Compensation with the City of Valley Center listed as the Certificate Holder. If you are exempt from workers compensation a separate exemption form is required. Roofing companies are required to submit a copy of their Kansas Roofing Registration certificate as well. *Concrete workers are not required to have an MABCD license to obtain a Valley Center Contractor's Businss License.
